Does anyone have information regarding the history of four poster beds please?

Thank you in advance, Stephen Edwards.

Can you please give me any information about this bed? It is believed to be over 100 years old, but I can’t find any info on it.

I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you, Georgaki Sofia.

I would think that there would have been a canopy on the top of the posts, as there are metal dowels fixed in the top to locate the canopy. Stephen Edwards.

I was wondering if you have any info on the attached bed pictures? It was believed to have belonged to King Phillip IV of Spain. I haven't been able to find a picture similar. Can you help?? Thanks Jen King

Queen Elizabeth I's bedchamber at the Manor House, Sandwich UK

Do you, by chance, have a copy of the above. I have a most beautiful pencil sketch of the room, bed, sparse furniture. The ceiling is beautifully scrolled and even highights show on the wood. I am trying to date the sketch. It is on a particular sketching board & I have written to the company who are trying to help me, albeit they no longer manufacture this sketching board. I have not yet contacted Sandwich, which is on internet, but have not discovered an email. Plus, I would like to perhaps date the drawing myself. It is signed, but have not had chance to go to Birmingham Library to try & trace.
With thanks for any help you can give.

Trussing bed
I am looking for more information on what a trussing bed might have looked like. If you know of any books or photos of such a thing it would help my research greatly. (I am working on a research paper on the subject, but am having a hard time finding any actual decription. Any help you can offer would be invaluable to me.

Thanks so much,
Nola Yergen
